A Test Bench in Copper
Every good recipe starts small. The 6 Gallon Advanced Model is a copper still with a 110v heating element and controller, so the heat source is built in and the dial is in your hand. Small batches mean more experiments, faster lessons and less wash at stake when you try something new.
Where a Small Still Shines
- Gin: gin is all about botanicals, and botanical work is trial and error. A small pot lets you test juniper, citrus and spice blends one batch at a time.
- Schnapps and fruit brandy: a few gallons of fruit wash is easy to gather and quick to run.
- Whiskey and rum: good for working out a mash or wash before you scale up.
- Vodka: neutral spirit takes repeated runs, and a small still keeps those runs manageable.
- Water and essential oils: a copper still handles these jobs too.
Control Is the Whole Point
Heat is the variable that matters most. Too hot and the run rushes. Too gentle and it crawls. The controller lets you adjust and watch what happens, which turns every run into an experiment. The EZ Seal Cap closes the top, and the 4 inch thumper port gives you a place to connect a thumper if you want to try whiskey and rum the old way.
